It's About Styling Your Investment Pieces I’ve noticed something about consulting with my clients. So many of you have a solid group of quality, classic, wearable pieces that you don’t wear because you feel that they are too “dressy” and the “world dresses in sweats now”. Then you end up in an athleisure uniform that gets repetitive and boring. One of the things I like to do during a session is to restyle dressy and classic pieces, integrating them into looks suited to your current lifestyle: Style the leggings Take an oversize blazer (think “boyfriend jacket”) and pair it with leggings and a matching top. This combination looks modern, fresh and oh so current. Sick of stilettos? A lot of stylish women are trading in their high heels for stretchy ballet flats, beautiful walking shoes and stylish platform sneakers (not running shoes!). Comfort and style can go together when you have the right shoes to go with your look. It’s about the accessories! Say you have an investment cocktail LBD dress that you don’t often wear. A lot of the secret of whether it feels like it’s the right thing to wear is what you wear it with. That dress might need to be paired with the right jacket, and bag to make it work for more than just special occasions. During wardrobe sessions I love helping clients discover unexpected pairings from their own closet that they never considered. Remember, I’m always seeking to help you define your individual style so that you feel great about how you look. Let's get your style together so you feel good with what you have. Here's to living your life with Style!Love, Judy "Judy insisted we start by seeing what I had, and she was able to make multiple outfits with items I hadn't thought to put together. She styled me with my own clothes and jewelry, and photographed me along the way--with my jewelry, accessories and shoes. As someone who doesn't like to spend time thinking about what I'm going to wear, all I have to do is gaze through my album of ME in my clothes and see what to put on. |
